The ADI-R is a semi-structured diagnostic interview to assess behaviours related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ADI-R typically takes between 90 minutes to 3 hours. The course is designed to teach clinicians how to administer and code ADI-R with parents/carers of children and young people with suspected autism.

The Toddler Module of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a fifth module that is specifically designed to assess children with limited expressive language who are between the ages of 12 and 30 months. Similar to the other ADOS-2 modules, the Toddler Module consists of standardised activities in which communication, social interactions, and restricted and repetitive behaviours relevant to the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be observed.

Eating disorder treatment, such as family-based treatment, can lead to a temporary increase in distress for the adolescent and family early in treatment. It is not uncommon for this distress to be expressed through uncharacteristic violence or aggression. Adolescent violence in the context of eating disorders differs to broader constructs of family violence.
