The Collaborative Centre’s Psychology Supervisor Connect and Reflect series supports psychology supervisors to enhance their clinical supervision practice through focused teaching, reflection and practical application. Each session explores a key topic and provides an opportunity to consider how the topic applies to supervision practice.
Session Topic:
Seeing Supervision Through Seven Lenses: Applying the Seven-Eyed Model Across Developmental Stages
This session will introduce the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet, 2008). The session will also explore how the model's seven lenses can be applied across different stages of supervisee development. The session will include a combination of theory, discussion, and practical examples.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
• Describe the seven domains of the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision.
• Identify how supervisory needs and focus areas change across stages of supervisee development.
• Apply the model to clinical supervision using provided examples.
Presenter:
Dr. Kerrie Clarke is a Principal Psychology Educator at Mercy Health and Austin Health, with over 15 years’ experience in public mental health. Kerrie is passionate about workforce development and creating meaningful education that supports people to grow and thrive in their roles. Her work focuses on strengthening workforce capability towards a more effective, compassionate, and recovery-oriented mental health system.
Eligibility criteria
This session is open to PsyBA approved psychology supervisors working in Victorian public health settings.
